Key agreement undersigned at Spain’s Navalia tradeshow
Argentine and Spanish shipbuilding businesses signed an agreement on occasion of Vigo’s International Shipbuiding Industry Tradeshow.
Vigo (Spain), May 25, 2022 – The Buenos Aires Shipbuilding Industry Association (ABIN) and the Galician Shipbuilding Cluster Association (ACLUNAGA) undersigned a framework cooperation agreement to collaboratively approach the industry’s challenges concerning technological innovation, environmental sustainability, 4.0 industry and enhanced safety at international level.
This Agreement was signed on occasion of Vigo’s International Shipbuiding Industry Tradeshow – NAVALIA 2022 – and was eventually ratified by Sandra Cipolla, ABIN’s chairwoman and by Manuel Vázquez, ACLUNAGA’s chairman, both of whom represented their satisfaction with and expectations about the agreement undersigned.
Moreover, the agreement provides for the promotion of cooperative projects highlighting the strategic relevance of the shipbuilding industry in the development process of both countries, as well as for endeavors tending to technological enhancement, sophisticated production, improved efficiency and novel production and quality, and business training/organization design methods.
Likewise, it provides for the development of research projects, gender-perspective training and education programs, as well as for the promotion of business meetings between ABIN and ACLUNAGA members, thereby fueling productive integration.
ABIN’s Deputy Chairman I, Marcelo Domínguez, as well as ACLUNAGA’s Manager, Oscar Gomez Díaz, Consul General of Argentina in Vigo, Horacio Martín Doval, and Andrés Superbi from the Argentine Investment and International Trade Agency were present as well.
